I measure all of my cardiovascular markers using the Apple Watch Series 9 (with the exception of the mile time). I input 1 data point at the end of each month, which I calculate by averaging the values recorded over the 28-31 days of that month.
VO2 max is the best measure we currently have for cardiovascular fitness. It quantifies how many milliliters of oxygen you can extract from the air per kilogram of body weight per minute during intense exercise. See Exercise for more information.

I am somewhat skeptical of the precision of this measurement and very skeptical of it's accuracy (what's the difference?). I suspect it uses my body weight and a simple formula to calculate this value.
